Welcome to Highland Animal Hospital.  We are a full service veterinary hospital providing complete medical, surgical, dental, and premium boarding.  Our services include wellness & prevention, spay & neuter, dental care, x-ray & ultrasound, declaw, micro-chip identification, and much more.

Updated Hours

We have changed our lunch time hours.  We are now open for walk-in services for existing clients from 8:30am - 12:00pm and from 1:30pm - 4:30pm.  If you want to become a new client please call us at (910) 484-2131 to set up your first visit.

Clients that check in during these hours will be seen even if the visit lasts past those hours. You can still pick up prepaid medications and pick up or drop off for boarding between 12:00pm - 12:30pm.  Between 12:30pm - 1:30pm the lobby will be closed and we will be unavailable by phone.  This means that we will not be open for boarding pick up or drop off, medication pick up, or any other services between 12:30pm - 1:30pm.
Medication Refill Requests
To expedite your visit we now accept requests for medication refills by email.  Please allow 2 business days for prescription refills requested by email.  Email HighlandAnimalRefills@gmail.com.  Please include:
  • First and last name on your chart
  • Your phone number
  • Your pet's name
  • The medication to be refilled
  • The quantity requested
We will pull your chart, get a veterinarian's approval for the medication requested, call you at the number provided in your email request to take credit card payment over the phone, and fill your prescription.  When you receive a call from us for payment you will know your medicine is ready for pick up.  Check in at the umbrella when you arrive and the greeter will get your medication for you.

Check in System

When you arrive you can scan the QR code posted at the greeter station and on the door.  Alternatively you can come inside and sign in on our iPad.  Once you have signed in you can wait in your car, at the play yard, or in the lobby.  When we are ready to bring you to the exam room we will text you.  Our staff will prepare your room and draw any samples needed.  When they are finished the next available veterinarian will join you in the exam room.

If you prefer, we will continue to offer curbside service.  Please use the same check in system and let us know you prefer to stay in your vehicle.

We've Moved

After 47 years at our location on Raeford Rd. we have moved into our new facility on McPherson Church Rd. We are located at 981 S. McPherson Church road to the left of the Guy school, just a few hundred yards from Raeford road.
