Carolina - Dr. Japheth's Golden
Dylan - One of many Highland Rescues
Providing loving veterinary care since 1956.
Welcome to Highland Animal Hospital. We are a full service veterinary hospital providing complete medical, surgical, dental, and premium boarding. Our services include wellness & prevention, spay & neuter, dental care, x-ray & ultrasound, declaw, micro-chip identification, and much more.
We have changed our lunch time hours. We are now open for walk-in services from 8:30am - 12:00pm and from 1:30pm - 4:30pm.
Clients that check in during these hours will be seen even if the visit lasts past those hours. You can still pick up prepaid medications and pick up or drop off for boarding between 12:00pm - 12:30pm. Between 12:30pm - 1:30pm the lobby will be closed and we will be unavailable by phone. This means that we will not be open for boarding pick up or drop off, medication pick up, or any other services between 12:30pm - 1:30pm.
Dr. Moore is our exotics veterinarian and is moving to North Star Veterinary Hospital. Unfortunately we will no longer be able to see any exotics. She would love to see her existing exotics patients at North Star.
Medication Refill Requests
To expedite your visit we now accept requests for medication refills by email. Please allow 2 business days for prescription refills requested by email. Email HighlandAnimalRefills@gmail.com. Please include:
First and last name on your chart
Your phone number
Your pet's name
The medication to be refilled
The quantity requested
We will pull your chart, get a veterinarian's approval for the medication requested, call you at the number provided in your email request to take credit card payment over the phone, and fill your prescription. When you receive a call from us for payment you will know your medicine is ready for pick up. Check in at the umbrella when you arrive and the greeter will get your medication for you.
COVID Policy Update
You are now welcome to accompany your pets into the exam room. We are following the CDC recommendations for both staff and clients and ask that anyone that has not been fully vaccinated wear a mask when entering the building. When you arrive please check in with our greeter who will give you a restaurant style pager. You may wait in your vehicle or the play yard to limit crowding in the hospital. When we are ready to bring you into the building you will be paged and the page will include which door to enter. Please bring your pager inside with you and have a seat in the waiting area. Once our staff have finished preparing your room they will meet you in the lobby and walk you back to draw any samples needed. When they are finished the next available veterinarian will join you in the exam room.
If you prefer, we will continue to offer curbside service but ask that you still collect a pager from the greeter and meet us at the door when paged. Our staff will then escort your pet inside and you can return to your vehicle.
